Cenk: “We are very happy to win in front of the fans again”

A win for Diakhaby

We are very happy with the win, and the most important thing is that we played this match for Diakhaby and we won it for him. If we have to talk about my individual performance, I think it was ok, but there are always things to improve. I have to keep this level up as a minimum. We are very happy to have won in front of the fans again, but now we have to maintain this level when we play away from home. We have a match against Villarreal before the international break in which we have to play well, and we are going to try to do a good job.

A return to winning ways

Last week was not easy for us because of Diakhaby's injury. Everyone was thinking about his situation and how he was going to recover. But we know that the operation went well and that he is happy. In the end, today we are very happy to have won again, but we have to continue and pick up points to reach our goal.

Keeping a clean sheet

We know that if we don't concede a goal there is always an opportunity to score points, because we have very good players up front. Therefore, it is very important to play well defensively and not concede.

Going game-by-game

We don't think about how many points we have got, that's not important to us. As the coach always tells us, we have to keep going day-by-day, game-by-game. We are happy to have already scored 40 points, as it is important for the team. But, we must get more. Let's see what happens at the end of the season.

I think that from the beginning of the season the coach has given us all a lot of confidence. I am grateful to the coach for trusting in me and starting me, but it is more important to gain more of his trust. He always picks those who deserve to play and that is why you have to work to maintain your level and continue playing.
